Burlesque Night at Elia

A Thursday tradition — elegant, electric, and utterly unforgettable.

Burlesque Night at Elia was where classic New York glamour met modern Mediterranean indulgence. Launched in November 2023 and produced by Cassandra Estelle, this weekly showcase ran for over two years, delivering 107 sold-out and standing-room-only performances and becoming a defining fixture of East Rutherford nightlife.

Every Thursday evening, Elia Mediterranean Restaurant transformed into a sultry supper club featuring burlesque, aerial acrobatics, and live electric violin by Grammy-winning artist Lorenza Ponce, with music curated by DJ Sava. With a rotating cast of over 50 top-tier performers, no two nights were ever the same—yet each delivered the same unmistakable energy, elegance, and spectacle.

Throughout its run, November 2023-December 2025, Burlesque Night at Elia consistently doubled—and on many nights tripled—the restaurant’s typical crowd size, driving increased reservations, extended dining hours, and repeat attendance week after week. Guests gathered to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, date nights, business dinners, and even wedding receptions, all within an atmosphere that blended elevated performance with exceptional Mediterranean cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.

More than a show, Burlesque Night at Elia became a destination—an experience that redefined dinner-and-entertainment in New Jersey and left a lasting mark on the venue’s nightlife legacy.

Grand Opening of Trata On The River

In October 2024, Trata opened its doors with a celebration as elevated as its cuisine — and the entertainment was no exception.

Following a full year of acclaimed burlesque productions at sister venue Elia Mediterranean Restaurant, Cassandra Estelle was tapped to produce a stunning lineup of entertainment for Trata’s highly anticipated grand opening.

Guests were treated to an unforgettable evening featuring aerial champagne service, oyster shots, feather fan dancers, live music, and immersive performances that brought the space to life. From the moment doors opened, the atmosphere was vibrant, elegant, and entirely one-of-a-kind — setting the tone for what Trata promised to be: a destination for not only dining, but extraordinary experiences.

Spellbound

Cassandra is proud to have produced two full-length shows under the “Spellbound” umbrella. Their self-titled debut show occurred in October of 2017 at a small venue in Brooklyn. Spellbound: Muses of Madness was sold out and presented in February of 2018 at The Cutting Room in Manhattan.

The show will leave you seduced, desperate for another taste of bliss before the sun rises to set the self upon the void of reality.

Escape on the tides of passion and drown in waves of euphoria. Give yourself the gift of dreams. Submit yourself to the fairy gods of obsession as they bring you through the darkness. This macabre show inspired by the style of art nouveau will include elements of dance, burlesque, pole, poetry, stagecraft and aerial art.”

Bourbon and Lace Pin Ups and Cabaret

Cassandra, known in the burlesque scene as “Mademoiselle Estelle,” began performing with Bourbon and Lace in 2013 before stepping into the role of co-producer alongside Queen of New Jersey Burlesque, Taradise. The productions ran through 2016 and became a staple of the New York burlesque scene.

During its run, Bourbon and Lace received the “Best Comedic Act” award at Burlypicks, presented at the historic Stonewall Inn in New York City’s West Village. At its peak, the company maintained three monthly productions at venues across Manhattan — in Times Square at The Producer’s Club, on the Upper West Side, and on the Lower East Side — establishing a dynamic presence across multiple neighborhoods.

The company also performed extensively for private engagements, including bachelor celebrations, speakeasy evenings, and birthday parties, guaranteeing clients a night of its signature blend of wit and glamour.
