The Dark Swan of the City
Cassandra Estelle is an aerialist, contemporary ballet dancer, gogo dancer, burlesque performer and entertainer based in NYC.
Cassandra is an alum of the University of Hawai'i at Manoa and the London Contemporary Dance School. She has extensive training in classical ballet (Cecchetti & Vaganova), modern dance (Cunningham, Graham, Improvisation & Release), harness & flying effects, and other varied performance disciplines. Since moving to NYC, her highlights include performing as a flying robot in an IKEA commercial, being a recurring acrobat at Webster Hall's "This is GOTHAM," Speakeasy Dollhouse's "Ziegfeld Midnight Frolic," gogo dancing in Atlantic City, flying on the side of a 300 foot building for the Rochester Fringe Festival and various other nightlife entertainment shows. She was also a harness and flying assistant coach to the actors who performed flying effects for Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical on Broadway at The Palace Theater.
In addition to these exciting freelance performances, Cassandra is a founding member & co-producer of the Brooklyn-based gothic performance company called "Spellbound." (@leavemespellbound) The trio debuted their show, The Tale of the Cat, The Swan and The Raven, in October 2017 to great success.
Cassandra also performs burlesque under the stage name: Mademoiselle Estelle (@mademoiselleestelle). She has various burlesque acts, the most popular of which are her "Black Velvet," Southern Cowgirl and "My Discarded Men" classic acts. Her favorite and popular set at Webster Hall involved elements of burlesque, ballet and aerial.
